Meet Dr. Jason Lawrence
Dr. Lawrence grew up in a small town in southern West Virginia. His family moved to Charleston, WV where he attended a prestigious High School; received his BA in religious studies from West Virginia University, then completed two years of Seminary education in Richmond, VA. Through this period, Dr. Lawrence worked every summer at church camps where he discovered his passion for working with youth.
After Seminary, Dr. Lawrence realized that a career in the dental field, and ultimately orthodontics, was his life’s calling. He completed his DDS at WVU in 2013 and was fortunate enough to be immediately accepted into the graduate orthodontic program also at WVU. He completed his master’s degree in 2016 as a board-eligible orthodontic specialist.
Since graduating, Dr. Lawrence has practiced orthodontics in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. He is passionate about creating the perfect, customized smile for all of his patients and says he loves helping people feel confident so they can greet the world smiling. He is very excited to be taking this next step in life to bring smiles to all of the faces here. When Dr. Lawrence isn’t building beautiful smiles he enjoys cycling, backpacking, rock climbing, and building computers.

Giving Back To The Community
If you have spent any time with Dr. Lawrence you likely got the impression that he loves being outdoors and has a passion for being in the wilderness. Dr. Lawrence turns to time outside to help recenter himself and reduce pressure from all the stress we experience every day. Unfortunately, not everyone in this world has equal access to the outdoors and haven’t had the same opportunities to experience the restoration that wilderness imparts.
For this reason, we at Birch River Orthodontics are working with a local foundation, The Footpath Project. Their mission is to increase access to the outdoors to families in Northeast Ohio that may not otherwise have the resources or experience to venture out. We are also reaching out to our family of patients to help with this mission. There are many ways to give including donations of assets or time. If you would like to help in this campaign. You can click on this link Footpath Foundation, or here Go Fund Me, to donate. Please keep a receipt and bring it into our office so we can measure our impact and share in this mission as a community!
